Kenneth Lee Baldner, 85, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Mercy House on February 12, 2026. He was born May 18,1940, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of the late Milton and Rhoda (Brechbill) Baldner.
Ken graduated in 1958 from St.Thomas High School. He was a dairy farmer for most of his life. Between Ken and his father, Milton, they sold Pioneer Seed for over 70 years. He is a member of the St. Thomas Assembly of God Church where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary as well as a Charter Member of the Williamson Ruritan Club. He was part of the NRA and the PA Farm Bureau organization for over 50 years.
Ken is survived by his children; Tammy Baldner of Chambersburg, Karen (wife of Rick) McCardell of Chambersburg, and Kevin Baldner of Jacksonville, FL. He has one grandson, Derek McCardell of Greencastle, PA. He is also survived by his brother Glen Baldner of Swartz Creek, MI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Baldner and brother, Ronald Baldner.
A viewing will be held on Monday February 16, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Chambersburg, PA. The funeral service will be held Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Assembly of God Church with pastor Josh Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial donations be sent to St. Thomas Assembly of God Church, 173 Rhondel Drive, St. Thomas, PA 17252 or to the Mercy House of Chambersburg, PA. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg, has been entrusted with the services.
